The Domaine's vineyard, which is situated atop the ancient crystal mines of the commune of Lantignié, whose seams are particulary rich in quartz and fluorite, spreads out over a little more than six hectares. Planted on gentle eastward-facing slopes at an altitude of 350 metres above sea level, the Gamay is mostly trained as bush vines whose roots run deep into stony, sandy soils.
The deeply coloured wines show a fine balance between stuctured tannins and aromatic freshness.
This wine's hallmark is its aromatic complexity, derived from layers of red fruit notes and sweet spices. The supple, rounded tannins on the palate point to the great ripeness of the grapes.
This is a wine that can be aged for few years.
